Design our San Diego CA 250th coin needs to be totally different and inclusive. I designed this coin by working with the City of San Diego, the Port of San Diego the Kumeyaay Nation and local city business leaders.
Design Question
How do you commemorate the 250 year anniversary of San Diego, CA in a coin that includes everyone and offends none.

Design Statement
It’s the weaving together of people, water and land. It’s a story of textures, edges and borders, of matte and shiny, of past, present and, future. It’s a story of physical direction and new ideas.
