I was asked to reimagine the 8th floor. My response: “what if the views were just the beginning”
BASE8 is a place for collaboration and inspiration - for the people and design thinking that happens within.
The top floor of the Port of San Diego building was ignored since the 1960’s. It was once a swanky lounge for airplane executives that included velvet drapes and yes, a giant deep frier. Gutting this space took 3-long-years of politics, patience and change management.
Projects include IOT and Geo-fence, 22 Parks, Project Blue Shelter Island and Operational Summits

BASE8 camp overlooks the Port of San Diego waterfront.
Inspired Thinking
The BASE8 name and logo are inspired by the eighth floor stairwell sign and antennas on the roof.
